Nettie

Support

Something not working, or an estimate looks off? Email support@nettie.app and a person will get back to you, usually within two working days.

It helps to include your phone model, your Nettie ID (under Your data in the app's settings) and a screenshot.

Logging food

An estimate looks wrong. Can I fix it?

Yes. Tap the entry to see its item-by-item breakdown, then change any item or its portion. You can also just reply in plain words, like "it was a small portion" or "no dressing", and Nettie will adjust it.

Why does a photo sometimes come out low?

Oils, butter and sauces are hard to see in a photo. If something was fried or dressed, add a short note like "cooked in olive oil" for a closer estimate.

A barcode isn't found

Barcode data comes from Open Food Facts, a free public database. If a product is missing, log it by photo or text instead, or add it at openfoodfacts.org so it works for everyone.

Calories burned

My burned calories are zero or missing

iPhone: open the Health app, then tap your profile, then Privacy, then Apps, then Nettie, and make sure Active Energy and Weight are turned on.
Android: open Health Connect, then App permissions, then Nettie, and allow Active calories burned and Weight. Also make sure your watch or fitness app syncs to Health Connect.

Why doesn't my number match my watch exactly?

Nettie reads active calories (movement), not total calories, because your resting burn is already included in your goal. Watches also re-sync during the day, so the number can change until the evening.

Subscription

How do I cancel?

iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Nettie.
Android: open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Nettie.
Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.

I reinstalled or got a new phone and Pro is gone

Open Nettie, go to the paywall and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you paid with.

Refunds

Payments are handled by Apple and Google, so refunds go through them: reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or Google Play's refund page.
